Melbourne Cycling festival is a 5-day celebration, held from October 13 – October 17 in partnership with the City of Melbourne and Bicycle Victoria. Overall, the celebration ties the National Ride to Work Day (October 13th) and the HBA Around the Bay in a Day (October 17th) with the Go Bike Expo.

The HBA Around the Bay in a Day is another cycle event that promotes a healthy lifestyle, and at the same time help raise funds for The Smith Family’s programs helping to support disadvantaged children. HBA Around the Bay in a Day event is on its 18th year. It started in 1993 with 2500 participants that continuously grow. In 2009 the participants were estimated at 15,000.
